1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Moneyhero comparison platform at moneyhero.com.au and any associated applications (together, the “Service”), operated by Moneyhero Australia Pty Ltd (“Moneyhero”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Moneyhero service

Moneyhero is an independent comparison platform for Australian households. We help you compare energy plans, internet and NBN plans, car insurance, health insurance, home and contents insurance, travel insurance, life insurance, and home loan products. We also provide calculators, guides, and news to help you make informed decisions.

Moneyhero does not itself supply energy, internet, or insurance services. We act as a comparison intermediary: we display information about products offered by third-party providers and, where you choose to proceed, facilitate an introduction or referral to that provider. The contract for any product or service is between you and the provider, not Moneyhero.

Product availability, plan details, pricing, and promotions are provided to us by third-party providers and may change without notice. While we take reasonable steps to keep information current, we do not warrant that any information on the Service is accurate, complete, or up to date at the time you view it.

3. Not financial product advice

Moneyhero does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is not authorised to provide personal financial product advice. Before making any financial decision — including switching energy plans, insurance policies, or home loans — you should:

• Read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) or offer document
• Consider whether the product suits your individual objectives, financial situation, and needs
• Where appropriate, seek independent professional advice from a licensed financial adviser

Savings estimates shown on the Service are indicative only. They are based on the information you provide and publicly available tariff data. Actual savings will depend on your real usage, contract terms, billing cycles, and other factors outside our control.

4. How we earn revenue

Moneyhero earns revenue primarily through referral fees and commissions paid by providers when a user takes up an offer or switches through our platform.

We are committed to transparency about this. You should know:

• Not all providers in a given market may be included in our comparison. The absence of a provider does not mean it offers inferior value.
• Our default sort order for comparison results is based on value for your household profile — not on commission rates. Our ranking methodology explains how results are ordered.
• Some placements or features may be paid for by providers (“sponsored” or “featured” listings). Where a placement is paid, we clearly label it.
• Commercial relationships with providers do not influence the data fields you enter or the mathematical output of our comparison engine.

5. Accounts

Some features of the Service (such as saving comparisons, uploading bills to your vault, and tracking your services) require you to create an account.

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating or updating your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@moneyhero.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are inactive for more than 24 months, with reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest content from the Service without our prior written consent
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information — including entering another person's details without their consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, our servers, or any connected systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit spam, phishing messages, or any malicious code
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without permission

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access for users who breach these requirements.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Service — including text, graphics, logos, comparison tools, calculator code, guides, and data compilations — is owned by or licensed to Moneyhero and is protected by Australian and international copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

“Moneyhero” and the Moneyhero logo are trade marks of Moneyhero Australia Pty Ltd. You must not use them without our written permission.

8. Third-party links & providers

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or applications (including provider websites you are referred to after a comparison). These links are provided for your convenience and do not signify that we endorse or take responsibility for those third parties, their content, or their products and services.

When you leave the Moneyhero platform and interact directly with a provider, that provider's own terms and conditions and privacy policy apply. We encourage you to review those documents before proceeding.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• Any product information, pricing, or availability data displayed on the Service is accurate or current at the time you access it
• Savings estimates or comparison results will match the actual outcome you experience after switching to a provider

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moneyhero, its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of savings, loss of data, or any financial loss resulting from a decision made in reliance on information from the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount (if any) you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition implied by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Our Service comes with consumer guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Schedule 2 — Australian Consumer Law) that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit those guarantees.

Where the ACL implies a guarantee and we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability is limited, at our election, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having the service re-supplied.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in that policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
